Jessica Pride Forms AAJ Sexual Assault Litigation Group

Jessica Pride is an experienced sexual assault attorney and the managing partner at The Pride Law Firm. She has dedicated her legal career to helping victims of sexual violence become survivors of a criminal epidemic that the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) says occurs every 98 seconds.

Ms. Pride has settled several high-profile cases for her clients in excess of seven figures. She has won The Daily Transcript’s Top Attorney Award, was named a Top 40 under 40 Professional by San Diego Metro Magazine and was recently selected from over a hundred applicants to speak at the International End Violence Against Women conference on the civil legal resources available to assault victims.

About AAJ Litigation Groups

Litigation Groups are made up of plaintiff’s lawyers through the American Association for Justice. These groups provide critical tools for colleagues to share resources, knowledge and experiences amongst their peers.

These groups provide:

  • Greater access to information through a list serve and document exchange from similar cases
  • Insight from lawyers about which strategies worked and didn’t work in handling successful cases
  • Access to a referral network of colleagues available for advice

Sexual Assault Litigation Group

Jessica Pride was instrumental in forming the Sexual Assault Litigation Group with Melissa Hague, through the American Association for Justice (AAJ). Through this group, Ms. Pride hopes to provide resources for attorneys to help them better litigate sexual assault and harassment cases.

Jessica takes a multi-faceted approach to helping sexual assault victims fight back. Her firsthand experience provides pertinent, unique and educational knowledge to colleagues. She believes that when a lawyer is well-equipped, the victim will be too, and both stand a fighting chance.

The Sexual Assault Litigation Group held its first meeting at the Justice Winter Convention February 6th, 2018 where more than fifteen states were represented. The introduction created a buzz among attending attorneys, many with plans to join the sexual assault litigation group.

Attorneys Unite to Spread Awareness

More than an advocate for sexual assault victims, Jessica Pride is a leader in the legal community.

Through Ms. Prides efforts, a Sexual Harassment in the Workplace webinar has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 28th at 2:00-3:30 p.m. ET through the AAJ’s Continuing Legal Education program. The webinar aims to help employment and personal injury lawyers better understand workplace sexual harassment and sexual assault litigation by touching on various topics with several different speakers.

It doesn’t stop there—the AAJ hosts a variety of events and seminars year-round. Attorneys and legal professionals gather to further their knowledge and network at AAJ’s Annual Convention which is held this year in Denver, Colorado July 7-10th. Members can experience over 200 events at the convention, including discussions led by esteemed trial lawyers and experts on the latest developments in trial advocacy and specialized areas. Attendees can even earn up to a year’s worth of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.
